Ashley is a natural born nurse. She was anxious to look after Katie this week and is doing a fantastic job!!! In fact, she is doing such a good job that katie had nothing but praise for her. It makes my Mommies heart proud. So why don't I post about Ashley as often as the other kids? Because she lives with her Dad I don't get as many photo ops of her, plus I don't get to be as much a part of her day-to-day life as I would like to be. A couple of years ago she asked if she could live with him. My gut reaction was NO WAY, but I gave it a lot of thought. We all went to a child psychologist to be sure this would be in her best interest and the doctor felt it was a great way for her to feel some power over her life and to bond with her Dad. (I secretly hoped the doctor would say she NEEDED to stay with me...no such luck) He is really a great dad. I have no doubt about his ability to care for her. I am just selfish and wanted to keep her here, with me! Well, that's not a good enough reason to deny her the opportunity, so I packed her up and off she went to her dad's house. I miss the heck out of her every minute of every day, but she is doing great and is becoming a fine young woman. I want what is best for her, even if I have a hard time with it!!

She is beautiful. I have wondered why you didn't blog much about her, but I didn't want to stick my foot in my mouth! How old is she?
My Aunt just told me that my cousin's were in Atlanta several weeks ago for a cheer competition.

Wow that has crossed my mind so many times what I would do if my girls decided to live with their father...it would break my heart but if thats what they needed to be happy I guess I would just have to deal with it.

It must be great for her to have her sister around. What an amazing thing you did to let her go to her dad. Not many moms would do that. My receptionist did the same thing. Her daughter asked to stay when she moved away after the divorce. It's a brave thing to do
I've wondered why you didn't blog as much about her too. She's adorable and you're such a great mom putting her needs ahead of all. :0)
it is so ironic that you posted this today as I was just wondering about it yesterday. You totally asnwered my questions, without even knowing I had them. Those of us you only know you through the blog, have all sorts of questions ;-)
