New foster Mom is Fantastic!

I saw this little girl today. She was with our new foster family. I kept tickling her and she just laughed and laughed. I hope PBJ grows up this happy and precious.

I just met the new foster mother. Her name is Amalia and she is wonderful. Her brother is one of the doctors that cared for PBJ in the hospital and they live just a few blocks from there. She is wonderful, PBJ took to her instantly and I was crying I was so happy! They are coming back tomorrow morning to pick her up. I am going shopping to stock up on all the formula, diapers, etc that PBJ needs. I want to be sure she has everything she might need.

I will have direct contact with her family and with the doctors down here. The agency said they support our communication 100% and encourage it. That is amazing!! I can't tell you what a relief this is and what a weight is off my shoulders.

That is so great that you found a foster mother. It is also super that she is so close to the hospital and her brother is a dr. PBJ should get very good care there. I am sure she will grow up just as happy and precious as the little girl in the picture.

Hi there,
Just started following your blog but if you need a name of a neuro surgeon (who is also an adoptive parent of a Guatemalan born baby) please email me at jrohde@maine.rr.com and I can put you in touch. I've made him aware of your situation and he is on board with providing you with some (free!) advice should you need it!
She looks wonderful in the short time that you have been with you!
Best to you!

That is wonderful that you have found a great foster Mother for PBJ!! I am sure that you are relieved that the doctor who took care of her will be so close.

Praying for her continued healing and quick release to her forever home.

PBJ's foster sister is as precious as she is.

I'm sure your heart will rest easy knowing that your baby girl will be in excellent hands for the rest of this wait. And what a sweet "big sister" to watch over her. :) (((HUGS to you as you get ready to come home))).

God is watching out for PBJ.

You'll be in my prayers tomorrow - "good-bye" is so hard, no matter how wonderful the foster mom is.

What a trooper! (You and Peri) Thank God he brought you to her. You have been so strong through this.

You have done a wonderful job at making arrangements for her and pushing things through. Glad to hear you are coming back home, (even though I am sure you would rather stay). Soon she will be in your arms forever and then you can continue helping her to heal. God is good!!!

I'm so happy to hear that all the details are being worked out. It sounds like God led you to a fantastic foster mom, and I know that will help give you peace as you return home. I'll be praying for that quick PGN out!
