We have him!
It took a while, several phone calls and e-mails and a whole lot of patience to finally get Ahren today. The foster family came by themselves so we had to struggle with communication. Luckily Katie is a natural at languages and has been taking spanish, plus we used the translator on the computer to help. I was so afraid that he would have a total meltdown when they left, and he started to....but then Katie got his attention and presto, no tears. None! He has been laughing, eating, talking and a total love bug so far. He is definitely a little clown and loves to be the center of attention.

I've been stalking your blog, waiting for this update. Yay! Seeing those pics and how happy he is just gave me chills and almost made me cry (can't cry right now since I'm at work!). I'm so happy for you guys, and especially for you (from one mom to another), since this has been a very long and rocky journey. We can't wait to meet him in a couple of weeks! Finally!! I'm so glad your wait is over. Can't wait to see the first pictures of him at home.
So happy for all of you. He looks amazingly happy...and I love the curls...I hope you aren't going to cut them! My youngest has curls that he has let grow because all COOL soccer players have long curly hair don't ya know!
