I wish I knew exactly what they are looking for and what they suspect. Then again I would probably just Google myself to death! Maybe ignorance is bliss.....

Test results!
Good news!!!!!!! The bloodwork shows that Ahren does not have muscular dystrophy or Ataxia Telangectasia. Thank you all for your prayers!!! The doctor seemed pretty convinced it was A-T which is a devastating terminal disease. Now he has ordered an sedated MRI stat. The hospital scheduler has already called and as soon as we get insurance approval we will be heading to the hospital. It will take 4-5 hours in the MRI machine. This is a very detailed view of his head and spinal column. I know a good friend whose son underwent this same procedure recently and they had a very good experience so I am feeling pretty comfortable. I have a bag of knitting and my e-book reader ready to entertain me for the wait. The only thing I dread is when he is coming out of anesthesia. This will be the third time this year he has been anesthetized and the other two experiences were AWFUL. Then again, this time he won't wake up in pain, so it should be much better.

Praise God for miracles!!!! I was hoping this would be the case since they were so slow in getting back to you!!
Don't google yourself to death. They may not know what they're specifically looking for either...just "something" else to go on.
So happy that those results came back negative. I had just checked your blog earlier this morning to see if you'd heard anything yet. I've been thinking about you all a lot and praying for you. I hope the MRI goes well and he does better this time when he's coming out of the sedation. And I hope you get these results much quicker.

Praise God!!!!! Crying tears of happiness for you and Ahren. I know there is still the uncertainity of what exactly is going on, but you must feel so much relief.
Hugs and love to you,
Deb
Hallelujah! This is terrific news. Here's hoping they're able to find a treatable reason for his symptoms soon.
Thank the Lord! Wow, great news! So happy for these results. That must have been an excruciating wait.
WOOOHOOOO!!!! I know that still leaves you wondering but at least you know what it's not. Thank God for that.
Keeping you in my prayers,
Amy
I've been stalking your blog for the last week, just checking to see if you've heard anything. My nephew has a very rare type of MD, and I was praying that wasn't it. Hopefully the answers will come soon! Yea!
so so so happy!!!! I hope the MRI goes well.
