This is Little C., one of the toddlers at the orphanage. We had made an attempt to adopt her, but she ended up matched to a family on the east coast. The day we were there she wasn't feeling well, running a slight fever and just generally cranky. The caretakers tried to swing her to cheer her up, but she ended up just putting her head down and crying. They then held her and rocked her. She was absolutely the most adorable little punkin I had ever seen and I longed to hold her and comfort her, but she only wanted her nanny. The women who work there truly love these kids, you can see it in their actions and the kid's reaction to them. I hope Little C. is feeling better by now, and that her adoption is whizzing along so she can get home to her forever family.
