Yes, size does matter!

When we were designing and building our home Chris would often ask me if I thought this room or that room were big enough. I could never 'see' the space in my head. All I saw was the shape on the page and that looked awfully small to me!

Fast forward to the treeless treehouse designs I purchased and which we are currently building. It looks rather petite in the plans, something I was worried the boys might just outgrow in a couple of years. I was actually thinking of enlarging it a little so they would be able to use it longer. Well after two days of hard work, the frame and deck platform are up and this thing is HUGE! The deck is above my head, the frame stands high in the sky and I have absolutely no idea how we are going to get the roof on that high in the air. It called for 16 ft frame boards, and that folks is just a little too tall for me to go scampering around trying to screw down plywood. I can lay the deck boards myself, I mean 7-8 feet up is not a problem, but the roof? Maybe I can rent a cherry picker for a day and dangle from it's basket to get the roof on?

Sounds like a fantastic project. I'd love to see how you get the roof on the thing as well. :-) I love a woman who knows what framing boards and plywood are AND she knows a little something about power tools. You're a girl after my own heart!

I'm bummed you won't be able to come, but I totally understand, too. There's no doubt about it - family comes first! Happy prom and graduation!

Forget Hershey we are heading to Texas LOL!!!!That tree house sounds like every childs dream house ,You do't have to worry about them out growing it, your boys may not even want to go to college , they just might want to live in their tree house .
